Rachel C Snowdon

Hi there, I'm Rachel - a London-born printmaker and illustrator who has lived and worked in West Devon since 2009. Specialising in traditional lino-printing techniques, my craft explores the nostalgia and wonder of ornamental 19th century design, botanical illustration, and whimsical, folkloric motifs.

My training includes a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Photography, both acquired at Central Saint Martins, London. As a working artist, I have previously exhibited at The Old Operating Theatre, London; The Tate Modern; OXO Tower Wharf; and internationally.

I produce prints, stationery, and drawing books, all in small-batch, limited editions. I will also work with clients on bespoke and collaborative designs. Everything is entirely handmade from my home studio. The lino I carve is made from biodegradable wood flour, hessian, and linseed oil - and wherever possible, I source British-made materials.

If you fancy being sociable, you can also find me on Instagram at @rachelsnowdonstudio and subscribe to Artist's Proof, my Substack newsletter and behind-the-scenes blog.
